We understand that life can be challenging and at times all of us need additional support. Jackson County Mental Health has Crisis intervention specialists available to assist those who need urgent crisis services and support.

Who to Call?If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available! You can call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org. This line is staffed by crisis intervention specialists to provide crisis assessment and intervention to reduce current stressors and collaboratively develop safety plans. Jackson County Mental Health (JCMH) works with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and when callers need more assistance, they are warmly handed off to our 24/7 Crisis Team. JCMH continues to take calls directly and dispatch our mobile crisis response through our crisis line at 541-774-8201.

Walk-InJackson County Mental Health serves community members in crisis at our Health & Human Services building at 140 S. Holly St. in Medford, OR. Walk-in help is available during business hours (Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm- note: the building is closed during lunch from 12 pm-1 pm). In addition to crisis assessment and intervention support to reduce current stressors and create safety plans, JCMH provides a Crisis Living Room. Recovery focused, the Living Room offers a safe place to rest, connect with someone with lived experience trained in crisis intervention, get referrals and resources, and when needed, a shower, snack and nap.

Mobile Crisis ResponseThe JCMH Crisis Team responds to community members in crisis where they are. Dispatched through our JCMH Crisis Line, our specially trained Mobile Crisis Team meets youth and adults face to face to offer trauma-informed, compassionate crisis intervention and stabilization help. See the link below to learn about our exciting pilot with Mercy Flights Mobile Integrated Healthcare Team.

Crisis services are available for all ages at no cost to the individual regardless of insurance coverage.
